While you’ll often find us highlighting the fantastic range of vehicles we have for sale here at Avalon, what we’re also home to here in Somerset is an outstanding workshop and prep centre.
Not only do the team within this part of Avalon Motor Company work tirelessly to make sure the cars on our forecourt are up to our very high standards, but they also look after those that have been driven away by happy customers in the past. We love seeing the same faces as well as new ones!

A 16,000sq ft workshop - with 9 ramps!
The area of our business dedicated to the smooth running of vehicles is a big one, giving us ample space in which to make sure everything is tip top. 9 ramps mean we can fit more cars in, which increases convenience for our customers too.
Thorough checks and preparation
By our calculations, over 100 vehicles go through our prep centre each month before going onto our forecourt, which means they’re comprehensively safety checked, and MOT’d if there’s less than 6 months left on the certificate. They’ll also undergo a 103-point inspection to fully appraise the interior, exterior and mechanical function of the vehicle.
We only sell cars we’d be happy to buy ourselves, so these are our non-negotiables!

We’re conscious to avoid working with outdated technology here at Avalon Motor Company, ensuring our technicians can work with the latest equipment to diagnose and, ultimately, fix vehicles. It gives our customers peace of mind to know that we’re working with the best tech on the market to get their cars serviced and repaired to the highest of standards.

From MOT tests to paint and bodywork specialists, our team is a multi-skilled and knowledgeable one - in fact, they have over 100 years of combined experience! There’s no problem that they haven’t previously come up against, or a make and model that they haven’t worked on. They are the safest of hands, and we’re so fortunate to have them on board.

We want your experience with our aftersales department to be a smooth and convenient one, so we’ve made sure that getting your car serviced, MOT’d or repaired works for you. Here are just some of the reasons you should choose Avalon:
0% credit for all vehicle repairs
You can actually spread the cost of your repairs with 0% credit, making larger lump sums much more manageable.
0% credit is subject to status, over 18's only. Credit is provided with a 25% deposit and the remaining balance is payable over 4 months.
Seasonal checks
You don’t have to wait until your service to get things checked over - take our winter check for example, where our technicians will check things like your lights, fluid levels, tyre health, and more. This gives you peace of mind when you head out in wintery conditions that your car is prepared to tackle anything.
Free courtesy cars
Having your car in the care of our technicians doesn’t mean you have to be without transport - we offer free courtesy cars on request (subject to availability), so you can still zip around while we look after your daily driver.
Free MOTs for life
If you purchase a car from Avalon Motor Company, you can enjoy FREE MOTs for the duration of your ownership, providing you have serviced the vehicle with us on an annual basis.
Service plans
You can protect yourself from the rising cost of servicing your vehicle with one of our service plans. All you need to do is ask a member of our team for a personal quotation.
