Free MOTs For Life On All Vehicles Bought From Avalon

Here at Avalon Motor Company in Glastonbury, we offer FREE MOT’s for life on all vehicles bought from us.

To claim this amazing offer, your vehicle will also need to be serviced with us and the offer only applies to all retail vehicles purchased from Avalon Motor Company from the 1st June 2017 onwards.

MOT tests are mandatory in the UK and are in place to check that your vehicle meets road safety and environmental standards. It’s the law to get your vehicle MOT tested on the third anniversary of any newly-bought vehicle, or the anniversary of your vehicle's last MOT if it's over three years old.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, MOT tests have been subject to some changes. If your vehicle was due to have an MOT between the 30th March 2020 to the 31st July 2020, your MOT allowance would have been automatically extended for six months due to lockdown measures being in place.

Any vehicles due for an MOT after the 31st July were exempt from the extension and required to have an MOT as usual. Your MOT lasts for a year and the expiry date will be printed on your current MOT pass certificate - you can book in your MOT for up to a month before it’s due to run out.

It is important to note that you can be fined up to £1,000 for driving a vehicle without a valid MOT, so it’s very important to ensure that this is kept up-to-date. Your vehicle will automatically become non-roadworthy if your MOT has run out.
